Work Background

I'm currently in the "Service Delivery" department at the Almaden Research Center in San Jose, California, doing AIX Support work. Prior to March, 1996, this department was part of the Research division, but is now part of the ISSC division. I am no longer a Research employee.

I spent twelve years learning VM inside out, but back in 1994, I abandonded my favorite operating system and expanded into AIX. I also dabble in OS/2, DOS, and Windows.

Lately, I've been working with AIX 4.1, setting up a Network Install Manager (NIM) server. This interesting work has given me a broad background in RS/6000 hardware, network configuration, and AIX internals. My new-found interest though, is exploiting the World-Wide Web. There's so much potential there for providing information and having fun doing it.
